Is there a replaceable bushing in an HS50 block where the governor shaft comes thru?
The shaft on mine seems to flop quite a bit.
Last falll at Osseo, my minibike surged from idle to throttle position speed several times as I was riding on the road. Three different times at wide open throttle the governor didn't work and the minibike seemed like it was going 60 mph and the engine was screaming.
All the linkage seems fine. I have the side cover off and can't see anything wrong with the governor gear, weights, or spool. Just a really floppy shaft in the side of the block.
I hate to put it back together and get to Osseo on May19th and have the same problem. Linkage adjustment seemed fine before I disassembled it.
Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks.
