Greyhound acceleration problems

#1
so i finally got the engine rigged up on the doodlebug frame i have, and yesterday i replaced the old fuel line with a really thick fuel line i found on an old engine. now, when i start it, first of all it is pulling itself forward ( im guessing the idle is too high, but i dont know what screw to adjust). ALSO as i start to ride it, it gives power in bursts, much like it does when you full throttle it ( when the governor is bogging it down a bit every sec.):shrug:
Could the much thicker fuel line be doing anything bad to the engine? could adjust that screw with the spring on it fix both problems, or that little black plastic screw?

Or the gov arm pinches it when you turn the throttle.
Get the right fuel line and see. Or put the old back on and check if you can.
