harbor frieght greyhounds??

I heard these engines were clones of Honda motors.. but I wanted some opinions on them.. are they good? do they run well? do they last long? are they able to be modified? (well.. almost ANY engine can be modified, but Ive seen that some Honda's can get some SERIOUS power when modded.)

but I was just asking cause I saw one on harbor freight today for a REALLY low price considering what it is...
6.5 HP Gas Engine - CA Certified

And Im a little worried about my Rupp's Tecumseh.. I mean Ive been working almost a full year on this motor, putting every dime I had into it to get brand new parts.. and at this point all im waiting on is the torque wrench to tighten the rod to the right specs.. but im worried about it dying after all this work.. after all Tecumseh's aren't the most reliable motor from what I've heard.. but maybe someone has some advice for me??

EDIT: ARRRRRRRRGGGGG!!!! WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE A SALE THIS GOOD WHEN I HAD MONEY!! $80.22 is my grand total.. not fair..
EDIT#2: im not in California never mind :eek:ut::doah:

is there already a topic or something?.. i honestly dont know.. most of my time here is spent on off topic and general minibike sections.. im just trying to decided whether or not to get rid of my Tecumseh for a more reliable engine..

I meant to put this in engines and modifications but I didn't click the right bookmark

even the guy that doesn't like clones knows that's there's a section for them.
Haha I wondered if someone would comment on that!

It's not necessarily that I don't like them, I just don't think they belong on vintage bikes. For drag bikes, they're obviously the way to go!
