Help taking apart Speedway Scarab front forks

Can anyone explain how do I take apart the front forks lower half after removing the outer shock part and spring? I can't take off the plastic guide or the nut because the bottom of the forks is too big. It has two notches at the bottom that appear to be for a special tool for taking them off (guessing on that). Any help would be appreciated.

You need to unscrew those oil restrictors in the bottom of each leg. I chuck them up one at a time in my vise with aluminum jaw inserts and than just use an adjustable "pin" spanner wrench. Those are the 72'/73'. The 71's use a circlip with the restrictor pressed into the tube. Anyway yours unscrew.:thumbsup:

BTW I have those nylon sleeves as well as the aluminum spacers-new ones-if needed.
