Hi There... Jimbo here. New Ruttman? Owner

#1
Hey there everyone hi there.

I recently picked up what I believe to be a Ruttman minibike. At the moment I'm unsure whether or not I want to restore it, just get it running or sell it. I'm thinking it would be a fun project though.

I would certainly appreciate any comments on the bike. I assume there's a lot of non-original mods and hacks that were made over the years.

Thanks!

Hi, thats a nice bike, the number and the colors really look good together.

i think that if you left a small amount of rust or scratches on it it would give it some character. the number plate should be fixed aswell

the engine seems to be covered in rust, but ive learned that engines dont have to look pristine to run pristine. so get that motor working and see how well runs.

i look forward to the next update

General questions...

I assume the half-shaft and its mounting plate is not original, right?

Does anyone know what model this is?

It came with a brake right? A drum brake?

That aluminum plate at the front of the frame is an add-on I assume.

Does anyone have (or can point me in the direction of) original documentation or pictures of how this bike should look in it's original state?

So I have had this Ruttman sitting in my garage for nearly two years now and I suppose I just don't have the time to restore it.

I guess I will put it up for sale or put it up on eBay...
