homemade sidecar ideas..

#1
I'm thinking of building a sidecar for my mini bike using and an old wheel barrow. Not exactly sure how I am gunna. But I'm seeing if any of you try building one without welding? I really need a welder but won't have one for awhile

I am planning on building one myself, out of L channel so I can put a vintage cooler with a padded seat on top. My friend has one on his rupp chopper but without the padded seat.

I just bought a wire feed welder at Harbor freight for $90 with a coupon from the flyer they put in the newspaper. It's not the best, but it plugs into a regular wall socket and makes you have a lot more options. Now I can make things from old junk I get for free. I bet you would get your moneys worth building your sidecar, and you could sell it on craigslist after you finish your project if money is tight. I think everybody is feeling the money pinch these days.

Hey Minimoto,
I Built a side car for my son William's, minibike.
Love the idea of a wheel barrow, just not sure you can do it with out a welder.

Still mines clamped on with hose clamps, so maybe with some create thinking and some U bolts it may be possible
