hub bearings

can someone tell me what size ball bearings a Bird Drover would use?

one rear bearing has no balls and already separated, the other three are very dry and crunchy

they appear to be a pretty normal sealed ball bearing, but I'd like to have four in hand before I start pounding them out

and also, is there a spacer sleeve in the hub between the inner races so tightening the axle doesn't put undo side pressure on them?

Best you take one out and measure, there are plenty sources for bearings on Ebay and OMBparts. More then likely 1 3/8" OD by whatever your axle is 5/8" or 3/4". Check also if bearing is flanged or not, makes a difference when using a spacer between bearings. Good luck.
