Just seeing the two pictures you posted tells me that she is a wonderful animal. It way she interacts makes that obvious. The bottom line is that a perfect pet can be gotten at the shelter. For many years I have not had anything but good luck!

Lab. One of the best dogs you can have. I had a white one and a black one. Miss them both. If you think she eats stuff now, wait for the "terrible two's".

She is a Yellow or at least part Yellow. Have you seen the movie Marley and Me? Got my Yellow when he was 7 mo old and he was a terror just like the dog in the movie. But now at 9 he is just a bit fat couch potato. Watch her diet they are eatin machines

The Joys of having a puppy! They love to chew up your best stuff. I does get better with time and training. I had one puppy chew up my brand new 150 dollar pair of Oakley sunglasses back in the early 90s. My last one chewed up the legs on my wife's new kitchen table and eat two pairs of my Reef flip flops and the tongue of one of my work boots.

Glenn your gonna have your hands full! We got our from the pound at 11 months old. Luckily he was never a chewer of anything on the house, outside well, he will eat just about anything. I have even caught him knawing on a 100 year old oak tree we have in the backyard:doah:

We have now had him a few years, But he only recently discovered that he can "counter surf" We always left stuff like loaves of bread on the counter. Well the other day he ate 3 loaves of bread  So now we have to make sure their is nothing on the counters!!!

He's 100 pound of stubborness, we have had Labs my whole life and I have to say he is the dumbest one yet :eek:ut: but hes fun:thumbsup:

You have an extremely rare breed of goat, looks exactly like a dog! Just dont try to milk it or you might meet the same fate as the chair! I have one as well, but was forewarned not to try to milk her, she eats everything she can get to! She eats the trailer wiring, the welcome mat on the porch, soccer balls etc! All kidding aside, if this behavior contiues get the dog some chew toys and then get some pepper spray and spray the things she is chewing on that are not the toys provided, it worked for me! Just be careful not to touch the stuff you spray and if you have kids just use some cayenne pepper or get a shock collar and zap the dog when she chews on things she is not supposed to chew on! Good luck, a fine looking dog that can benifit from some behavior modification!

You still love her though! Mine was destructive till our neighbor helped us to understand her. This lady works at the shelter and her "partner" is a vetrinary student and assistant. They taught me and the kids to spend quality time as often as possible, we take her to the lake and although she's not a retriever she'll get a tennis ball from land or water. She's been IDed as being part Autrailian shepard as well as shar-pei and pit bull, so she's even more confused than me. We work her often and it has calmed her way down, the cayenne pepper helped at first now that she's not bored out of her mind she's become more a part of the family than a pain in the butt! I've always had a dog and always will! It's good to see you are enjoying her and she could'nt have a better home it seems!
