LOS ANGELES (AP) — Leonard Nimoy, the actor known and loved by generations of "Star Trek" fans as the pointy-eared, purely logical science officer Mr. Spock, has died.

Nimoy died Friday of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at his Los Angeles home, said his son, Adam Nimoy. He was 83.​

I loved that show :thumbsup: he was in "Mission Impossible" too, and I think I have seen every "Star Trek" episode at least 5 times :doah:

Star Trek was and remains a great show. I watch it often.

I got to meet Leonard Nimoy during some kind of promotion at a mall in Indianapolis, spring of 1969, one of my favorite actors, RIP Spock.

I watched every episode of the old Star Trek series and my brother and I were in front of the tube every day after school watching it, my Uncle Bob was also a fan in his 40s and watched with us. COPD kills too many people but since smoking is the main cause it's preventable, 82yrs is a long life but without the COPD I bet he'd a made it to 100 or close. RIP Leonard Nimoy, live long and prosper on the other side.
