Maverick Build

Cobbling together some of my junk parts for this build. It is a Maverick mini trail. Instead of the 50 I am going to power it with an 80cc. Got lucky and found the port maps so it will be ported, polished and the head will be cut. Motor disassembled and new bearings, seals and kick parts will be used. No fender, lights or air canister. Just the bare essentials. Purchased a new set of Heidenau tires. Looking at satin black and satin gun metal gray. Building it for my October run in Suches. Hope it turns out well.

Got the cases split. Crank bearings were rusty. The rotary valve was stuck to the crankcase. Looks like it has seen some water. The piston rings were sucked. The kick stopper was broken and rattling around in the crank case but the gears looked fine. All the bearings are removed.
Now allot of cleaning.

Got a roller. Really like the tires I got for it. Time to turn back to the motor. The down side, it is hot as hell in the garage.
