MINI Snowmobile Sno-Jet Winter Restore " A WINDBER find"

#1
This year at Windber was a little wet but, my Dad and I found some really good deals. The old man has a deep love for snowmobiles so when he found this little guy in the back of a pickup truck, he had to have it. At first, i thought what is he gonna do with this hahah. Well we brought it home and it sat on the self unit 3 weeks ago. This is the GEM.

To add to the last post the motor didn't come with the sled. The sled is a "Wee Lark" for those of you that would like to look them up. Pretty hard to find and locating a hood didn't seem likely. After buying some awesome tool to work on those cars in the back round we thought, lets try and make a hood for this little guy. By the way I did come over that Saturday to work on the Willys coupe, but it was snowing which let to snow mobile hood haha. This is what we ended up with.

Very nice, love the Godzilla in the background.

As far as I know Sno-Jet never made a mini sled, So this is something else being made a custom ?

Great job on the sled--I remember seeing it in the back of the p/up. The Willys is cool--steel hood?--was it a true gasser with a Hemi?--going to put it back on street or nostalgia drag race it.

The Willys is a 1940 and it was a true old gasser. The body it all original steel but the front clip, doors and rear fenders were replaced with race fiberglass stuff from the 60's. This car is a bucket list car for my Dad and I will be kept as a Gasser and driven on the streets. The car will be bare steel in a few months.

What's on the other side of Godzilla?..............Looks like an early 60's Plymouth.
That is a 1963 savoy Max wedge car super stock II. The car was then converted to an Altered wheel base car with a chassis tubular front end. They also put a better looking 65 Belvedere fenders and grill. The chassis work completed but the car was never finished. It was stored and passed around for the rest of it life. During building the car the fiberglass body funny cars came out and the race team stopped working on this car and moved one.
