Model T Go Kart Transmission

#1
Hi, I just picked up a mid 60's Model T go Kart made by Crue Cut. It was missing an engine and I have one, however I can't figure out how reverse works. I saw pictures online that show two pulleys on the motor shaft, and I realize the fiber disc runs in the one pulley when you lift up on the lever. Is the double pulley that mounts on the motor special and still being made? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Speaking out from left field but sometimes the way they achieved reverse on some of the ride ons is to flip or twist the belt (look like a figure 8). Now my experience is mainly garden equipment so I really have no clue how yours is supposed to be exactly. It just might be something to look at.
