I can't figure out how to remove that torch converter shaft? Any ideas.
I think it is a 69 mtd

Usually you'll find a set screw on a lock collar that needs to be loosened to get them apart. If all the set screws are loose it may be just rusted together and as a last resort you may need to cut the clutch jack shaft under the bike to get it all apart. Can you take some pics of the clutch and under the bike on the jack shaft?
