Does an offset flywheel key and advanding timing 1-2 degrees really make a noticeable difference in performance?
Say on an older tecumseh flathead engine?

You should find out what is the factory timg before you advance it. The flathead motor usually come with more factory timing than these new OHV engines.

an old points under the flywheel Tecumseh has adjustable timing anyways.. loosen the bolts and turn the coils, but usually without other mods that will just make it run like crap..
