old raptor or fun power with sticker??

#1
i am looking around for a raptor or simular motor here in louisville ky, and i ran across a "deal" on a alleged raptor motor. looks like a fun power to me. if it is a raptor, would it be a decent motor for a mini? it looks l\suspect to me, because of the choke, stock air filter and different gas tank. what do yall think?

That's basically a bone stock Briggs 5hp engine.
It is very close to a Funpower engine, and both stock and funpower engines can accept performance upgrades, but you don't know what you have till you take it apart.

It looks like it was repainted and may have different parts inside.
If it runs good then it's a good engine.
Most people pay $50-$150 for a good running used briggs 5hp.

I paid $40 for my 5hp flatty. If you check craigslist for tillers/ edgers you will get alot that have 5hp'ers on them and usually they are pretty cheap.
