I know I am not a paying member at this time, but why does OldMiniBikes only have a 20 PM Limit?


All the Car Sites I have start at 100 or 200.

The two sites that I am a paying member on, I have a 2000 PM Limit.

Not trying to really bitch, but only 20 causes issues when you are working with a few key members and sharing key information here on OldMiniBikes.

Ok looked into this and I see this but if I were to pay annually what is the cost?

I myself have this stupid male pride that wouldnt allow me to have someone else pay my way on something like that but thats just me.
$25 bucks isnt that much but like I have said the forums are fun and fuctional as they are.
I'm old and dont want or need to PM as much I guess :lol:.

Thinking back to my teens I remember me and my cousin mowing lawns, raking leaves and shoveling snow to earn some decent cash to buy things we wanted.
(a half day of snow shoveling would put about $40 bucks in each of our pockets and that was 30 years ago)
Ahh the good old days.

I guess I just cant understand why people cant just enjoy the site as is or just upgrade when they want more instead of making a fuss over it.

the 20 pm limit is that you can only have 20 in you inbox ,wright ? it seems ok, ya it makes a free account hard to use for mass exchange of info. but i see it as a great sample of what you can do . and the set up of paying by check is very nice for some of us dont have pay pal or credit cards .

people will always find something to complain about. they don't want to pay, they don't like the rules, etc...

20 messages including sent ones. you can set it up so it doesn't automatically save sent PMs.

i know i was saying i like the fact that i can do it that way , some sites i would like to join you need a credit card or pay pal and i dont have ether so to find a site that will still take snail mail and a check, money order ,cashiers check ect is so cool . i must not have been clear in what i said , sorry im a little slow . i some times miss words in what im trying to wright and to me it seems correct but to every one else it is missing what im trying to say .i must say i like this site and its fun to be able to sit and talk to you all and see how you solve a problem. its cool to be able to throw a idea in the pot and watch it go . so to hent i say thank you for a cool place to hang out and chat .

If you clean the junk out of your inbox once in a while, 20 messages works just fine. Besides, there is an option at the bottom to download them in one of three text formats. I do that and paste them in a big text document.

$2 a month is really affordable for a membership, though. Can't even get a cup of java for that.

I belong (Paying Member)to 4 car sites, a fishing site and a snowmobile site. So I am already dishing out a bunch. Times are tough people. $25 here, $25 there, $25 over there. It is more than just $2 a month! :thumbsup: I visit more sites...

All politely ask for you to be a member which I totally understand, but none of them have a 20 PM limit. All others are much much more!:wink:
