I just picked up what I believe is a puddle jumper. But before I dig into it and start taking things apart ( runs but not smooth) hoping to get a little info on this guy. Such as how to establish what year it was made and what motor it has? I’m excited to learn about this any info would be super to get started would be great?

1979/80 usually if its got a sears ID tag on it. The engine is from a newer snowblower....unless its a new Green plug in model 
. The engine is around 10 years newer than the bike and most likely an HS50. The numbers are probably stamped under the plug in that bolted to the top of the shroud for the starter, but look around for a decal possibly as well, sometimes they would have one so you could see the numbers.
