I have A newer 5 Horse flathead with a tapered shaft, I dont want to mess with any grinding or filing, I would really like to just put in a replacment crank ,with a 3/4 or 5/8 bore I have the model 137212 type 1313E1 CODE 990128YB . Can anyone cross reference this. I tried small engine parts.com they said they cant do that it just comes up with the same part # crank thats in it which is 499764 tapered. this engine has only 11hrs use. Does anyone no of a crank that will fit ? and I want to get a aluminum rod to, any help from the experts would be appreciated ,thanks for looking Bandit 40..............

You can replace it from a used engine.
So I can just put a crank shaft from any older briggs flathead motor install it with a new billet rod or buy a new crank , and it will be the same diameter journal? hat would be great:confused::confused:I wouldnt want to order a crank with bearings if its not the correct parts:confused:
