Sprocket change

#1
I just picked up a new rear sprocket from our friends at Motor City Minis. It is a 72 tooth with large holes drilled in it.

My current setup is an 11 tooth Max Torque front with a 60 tooth rear. The bike goes about 28MPH (on GPS 30 down hill on pavement). 6.5HP Greyhound clone stock.

It seems to have a high stall and likes to hook up hard much later in the power curve than most find comforting. It will hook up hard at around 15-20 and start to carry the front wheel, much too fast to to try to bail out and run behind if you come down with a bad case of whisky throttle like a couple friends nearly found out the hard way.

I dont mind a bike that will wheelie but I would like it to happen at lower speeds. I know I will gain low end and sacrifice top end with a larger rear sprocket I am just wondering if I will notice a big difference or if this is just how these newer motors hit their stride?

I also have a 12 tooth Comet clutch on order what kind of difference will that make?

Here is a pic of it from last year or so just as reference
