Picked these remains out of a pickup lock box that was part of a storage unit.. no motor, exhaust, or seat. Looks as if everything else is pretty much here. I have the chain, wiring harness, throttle, and brakes too. Not sure what i plan to do with it, i guess thats why i'm posting. sounds difficult to find the original motors.. i've heard b/s will work. but I'm kinda thinking of parting it out or selling it as is. any suggestions? don't know much about these cats..

It is supposed to have a Tecumseh 4hp engine. Not hard to find at all. But if you do decide to part it out I would be interested in a clutch gaurd and the gas tank.

ok thanks! so was the Tecumseh HS40 stock then?? was thinking it was the Sachs engine.

They came either way. Yours has the flat engine plate so it came with a Tecumseh. The ones that came with a Sachs engine had no engine plate at all, just mounts.
