taking governor off old 3 hp briggs

so i lost the governor arm off of my 3hp briggs and i just wanna yank the hole thing out...will it last with the stock valve springs and other stuff???.. i havent seen any where where they have heaver springs for the briggs

Maybe the stock springs will work as somewhat of a rev limiter. Scott.
