A buddy gave me an old powerwasher with a Tecumseh 5hp Enduro motor on it. Its got good compression and I see no reason why it wouldn't run with a little TLC. I was worried that it had a tapered crankshaft and after removing the pump I found its a straight 3/4 inch shaft. Is this thing worth fooling with for a mini??? I think I've found a ride needing a motor

I degreased this thing and replaced the fuel line. The carb was all gunked up as figured. Float was stuck and the bowl was full of rust. Cleaned it all up and fired it up. It runs pretty good but RPM surges off the governor at WOT to much and the idle is floating a bit. I"m considering a ebay $35 adjustable carb and a stiffer linkage spring to eliminate the surging. Just a thought
