Engine runs well, like new IMO. Has nice adjustable carb that everyone wants.
Got this one off Sears chipper/ shredder. Chipper/ shredder was fairly worthless, hence engine was used very little. I tried the chipper/ shredder one time before taking engine off and trashing the rest.
Known issues:
(1) 7/8" taper PTO shaft, plenty long enough to end up with standard 3/4" x 2 7/16". Already drilled and taped 3/8" fine thread.
(2) carb needs a kit. I disassembled and cleaned, needs welch plug on side of carb that covers idle circuit jets which I cleaned, carb rattles (I think that is a good thing).
(3) carb to air cleaner adaptor is from a Tec 3.5 hp on my Murray Track 2, I swapped them out cause I like the way the adapter off the 5hp fits on the 3.5hp. If a problem, I can swap them back.
(4) fuel tank mounted on side of engine, but an easy fix IMO.
This is a sweet little engine. I hate to sale it, but have too many engines, too many projects. I may never do anything with it, time for someone else to enjoy it.
