Tecumseh ID

I have a Tecumseh HS30-35319M serial # 9274B. After looking at the ID code list on here . I think this is a 3 HP Horizontal shaft small blockk.. Made on the 274th day of 1979 shift B. It has a 1/2" shaft. I can post a pic as soon as I figure it out.Can some of you experts confirm this. If I'm wrong don't be afraid to tell me. Also any ideas on the original paint color or what it might have been used on. Thanks

There is no such thing as an HS30

the only HS engines were the HS40 and HS50. Everything else is an H designation for Horizontal Tec engines. The S designation on the 4 horse and 5 horse engines indicated it was the small block version, as opposed to the H40 and H50.

Now that's cleared up, post up a picture of your engine and we can give some info on it.

Probably "not" a 1/2" crank. More like 5/8".
