Unknown Frame

I got a frame (and an engine and some very beat wheels) in a trade recently. I've looked at some of the ads, but haven't found anything that's a match. Any ideas on what brand/model this might be, or if it's some sort of homebuild?



It seems like apehangers aren't too common on the smaller bikes like this. It has "Made in U.S.A" stamped on the license plate bracket in the back, and I haven't found any stamping elsewhere, but I also haven't removed the seat yet. The piece of sheetmetal that ties the two front forks together isn't rectangular, either, its kind of shield-shaped.

I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance!

Efenel is the manufacturer. It could have been labeled as a Lightning, Grand Prix, Toro, Missle, or Torpedo.

Looks like an efenel to me, I think Grand Prix and Missle used the same frames too but I'm not 100%. There is another thread on here where someone posted this bike

And someone suggested that was an efenel too

SimpleTom and dragracertpp, thanks very much! I'll do a little digging to see if I can figure out the model. Looks like mine may have lost the fenders and fender brackets somewhere along the way, unless there was a model that never had them.

Edit: Oops - just went back out to the garage to look at it - it does still have the fender brackets.
