what is the hp on this tec?

here are the #s 143-657042 ser 5230b its a craftsman tec from a snowblower have another question i know snowblower engins are tuned for cold temps can you just make some adjustments on the carb for warmer temps?

Here's a link I used to ID a couple. You have to enter your engine#. You may have to take the - out of the #. I'd look it up for you, but they're pdf files and I need to reinstall Adobe Reader and so far I've been too lazy.

It's an HS40 - 4 horsepower. It does have an adjustable carburetor.

thanks still wondering how its going to run in warm weather and if i can just tune the carb for it being it was on a snowblower

It'll run fine. The engine is no different than a warm weather engine, just the carb adjustment. You'll need to add an air filter too.
