above freezing I use 30 weight GTX, there's a lot of fake synthetic's out there (moble 1 is real and only a couple others) and blends aren't worth bothering with since you could add a drop and call it a "blend".

I don't use synthetic because I don't race and change my oil more for time gone by and dirt than miles since I have a lot of engines and can't just beat the crap out of one or two.. If I only had one or two and road them a lot and hard, I would go synthetic.

So cncsparky,the Amsoil you use is synthetic isn't it? Arn't the synthetic oils good for all weather temperature ranges(hot & cold) If Amsoil was in the stores I would go with that.Since there not I could use Mobile 1.Somewhere I read to use Mobil 1 SAE 0W-30 for Tec engines if using synthetic.Does this sound right? For no more oil than a small engine uses,I may as well use synthetic.I just need to know which weight/synthetic is appropriate.Thanks
