When I wasn't going on overnight deepsea fishing trips on the weekends I was hitting the ham radio swapmeets. I used to have one of these bicycles. Was so damn heavy and hard to pedal.... Ol...

My last big "hobby" was racing. Built a Ministock for running around the local ASA dirt tracks. 1985 Honda Prelude. The rules said the motor must be "stock"... And you could only run certain tires, highway tread, no mudders or studs. 1 win, lots of second places, finished two seasons in the top ten in points, but in the third season a hard wreck into the backstraight wall messed up my shoulder and forced retirement.

I had to keep messing with motors, and this hobby brings back my younger years.

Collecting and restoring vintage garden tractors. I went to a farm auction and saw a mini bike and thought it would be nice to get around the shows from my swap/show spot to my van in the parking area.

So when I was racing BMX in the early 80's you were still crapping your diapers?

By the way, 1979 Redline Proline. Still have it.

Man, that was 57 years ago and I was only ten year old at the time. This minibike stuff is like an addiction. You can quit for a while but you always come back. Ogy

I was into minibikes and gocarts as a kid then thought I grew out of it

Then after wasting 20+ years of hard drinking and partying I met a nice lady and settled down to being a family man , or so I thought

I had a few good years then a break up that a hurt me bad

I figured I had two options , go back on the bottle or find something more constructive to do with my time

I chose minibikes and rc cars/trucks

As my collections grew and I become an OldMiniBikes member my life got better and at some point I even managed to get back together with my long term ladyfriend lol

So there it is if you want your life to get better get a minibike:laugh:

In all honesty, I really never had much of a hobby.
I worked way to many hours then when off, drank way too many beers. Wife got a little more of the drinking than I did.
She kinda lost control of it. So, she had to quit after multiple attemps at rehab. Finally went to a place for eight months.
When she came home, guess what? I had to quit too for her sake.
So, I had a bunch of extra time.
Had that old Fox Thunderbolt and said to myself, get it running. So, that turned into a all out resto and through that, led me to here.
And 15 or so bikes later I have over 20,000 posts and easily, 20-25 people in my life who I now call my friend.
Best and only hobby I have ever stuck with.

Lots of hobbies , BIG time vintage snowmobile collector and restoration for about 15 years.

Got hurt bad 10 years ago and could not play with sleds any more. Sold or got rid of it all pretty much.

So, now I just fiddle with stuff and if it starts to hurt I walk away and come back to it the next day or two.

Love doing the stuff.

As a kid we always had some sort of toy I remember the scrambler the best but we had a mini bike that my mom wiped out on the beach, might have been lake Michigan.
(throttle stuck or she panicked or maybe she panicked after the throttle stuck IDK)

My dad had his enduro/dualsport motorcycles and we lived on a lake and of course had a boat.

Over the years I've had many different toys and interest comes and goes from time to time as life gets in the way. I love getting out into the woods on just about any type of toy and as of lately we have been into ATV's my 660 raptor is FUN and I am looking forward to this summer.

Lots of years in the Navy doing what sailors do. When I got out several years ago, I got back into woodworking but became disgusted with how commercialized it all became. Tools/machinery, materials was stupid expensive and I found it wasn't worth my time or money anymore to build my own furniture. So a couple years ago while Christmas shopping with the wife, we found a Motovox bike at Sears and thought it was the coolest thing. (I was never exposed to minibikes, etc when I was younger). I bought it for our son and then another, and so on. After a couple modifications, the fabrication bug took over. Where is this all going to lead too?, time will tell.

I've always been into anything with wheels as long as I can remember. Started with hot wheels progressed to bikes and skateboards (made my own boards) then to minibikes and motorcycles and finally cars. Everything I was into I would tear it apart and put it back together. I wound up getting heavy into old Mopars and that was an expensive hobby. I got back into mini bikes when my son wanted one. We got him a cat 250x off of craigslist 3 years ago and I had to have my childhood cat/penneys duster to ride with him. I realized the mini bike hobby was cheaper than the Mopars and they take up less room.

Last hobby before minibikes was dirt track racing. We had 2 cars that we ran every weekend. Very expensive!

When me and my ex wife moved out of that area had no hobbies. Then I bought a super bronc off ebay about 3 years after moving and rebuilt it. Then it kind of went on from there.

It's not much of a hobby these days. I don't really do much with them and honestly I only have a few bikes left. I sold everything but the 2 Hondas 3 big wheeled bikes and my black widow.

I simply don't have time for them. ..
