Looking for a ballpark idea on a rebuild cost on a big block tec

it will depend on how bad the engine is.... a basic rebuild with rings, gaskets and valves will run about $60-$75 in parts...

are you wanting a cost including labor or just parts?

I imagine a mower shop will charge at least $25 an hour and if the engine needs any machine work then the price really sky rockets...

If your looking for a fresh engine I have an H60 all rebuilt with new rings, valves, rod, bearing side cover, new crank bearing, new points, 8mm coil wire, gaskets, seals, rebuilt carb, head bolts, ect....
