Would a old 8hp Briggs fit on my bike

The old motor on my mini bike was an old 3.5hp Briggs, and I’m looking for a new motor for this, and I found an old 8hp Briggs I just want to know if it would fit, like how much bigger is the motor, and are the mounting holes correct? There should be room if the mounting holes will work.

Get some measurements (L, W, and H) from the "old 8Hp Briggs" you found and are considering then check them in your frame. By the looks of that 3.5HP fit in your frame I think it MIGHT be a no-go.

The 8 hp engines are considerably larger than a 3.5 hp and I believe they have a wider mounting bolt pattern. But I agree with @creia, taking measurements is the best way.

Just went through this question, same engine going in an El Burro. It did fit and the measurements are in the post below. Your frame looks considerably smaller but it's worth a shot.
