Yea, they only offered the side fill on the Plastic tanks (horizontal seam) that came out about 1970. they dont accept paint to well though so you need to get one that matches your engine color the best if you went that route.

^Thanks for the insight. Yes, would need to paint so plastic side-fill is off the list. Back to Nice(r) steel center-fill.
