So my buddy gave me two of these fairly unused engines, but they have been sitting outside for quite awhile. So I cleaned both of them up nice and un-gummed the carburetors, and realized I couldn't use one of the carburetors, because it was completely rusted through. So I put the best one back...

Got a newer powersport tecumseh which i hate, either they run good or dont run at all. I need to find a better power plant for my lil indian chopper. Any ideas? I also have a tav2 so i need to bolt that up also. Im done with trying to make this thing run.

i got this yeterday on a complete mini. it runs good but only when the choke is fully on????:shrug::confused::confused: what can this mean do i need new gaskets somewere if so were can i orfer them what else could be wrong??

I bought this engine from a guy off of here and Its a 6hp Tec. I have an old 5hp Tec and its also a powersport. I was thinking i could do what The honda owners do and switch the heads so that theres more compression or something. will this work for me?

i need a replacement for my minibike cause my tecumseh took a crap on me. reason why i need a powersport is cause the rev limmiter is set higher than other engines. so if you have a running one in good condition all be willing to buy it if its a good price.

Since I'm not sure how to hook up a throttle to bypass the governor completely I was wondering if hooking up the spring to one of the other holes in the picture below would make the throttle more effective it's on a 6hp tecumseh powersport OHV engine

i prime the carb, and go to start it, it will not idle, and only stays running with the throttle on/held open. the filter was off to get you a visual of the carb. what would make the engine need the throttle open just to pull enough fuel through to keep it running? the carb is fully cleaned...

I am rebuilding a Super Bronc VT-812 anyone know if the new Tecumseh 8 hp flathead with original clutch bracket will fit in the frame and work right? Shaft is 1" x 2 7/8"

I'm interested in the 6hp tecumseh powersport ohv engines. Some of these come with a shaft length of 2 5/16, and some 2 9/16. A difference of 1/4 inch. I have a tav2 I want to use. Which shaft length should I go with.

Anyone have a picture of how they have theirs setup? Thanks.
