Has anyone done a powder coat vs. painting the frame? I have a place around here that does the powder coating, just not sure it is worth the extra money.

Hi All, I finally have my PakJak frame and forks all sandblasted and ground down. My question to you is, what primer can I use that is happy with a powder coat process. I do want to protect the bare metal from rust till I powder coat but I don't wish to impede the process and have to remove it...

I tried Duplicolor clear wheel paint, but it leaves a thick, glossy finish. I just want to seal and preserve the finish, not add to it. :scooter:

So tonight I'm spraying the clear on my bike and I got a little excited put a run in it. How do I get it out? Also, does acrylic enamel protect the paint from rubbing off due to throttle cables rubbing when you turn the handle bars?

Put three coats of spray paint on sanded frame. Looks very good. Should I hit it with some clear to make it really glossy and protect the paint. Any tips? Ps Rust oleum Chrysler Red is a direct match. 2 cans gave me great coverage over the sanded frame.

Has anyone bought a powder coat system from Harbor Freight or simular type ? If so does it work or is this something a person should stay away from ? I have seen others on the net and they dont sell for much more that the 59.95 Harbor Freight gets for their system . Let me know your thoughts...

I have a DB with an airbrush and pin striping paint work done by myself and it keeps chipping! Does anyone know where to get some automotive clear coat because I am probably spending more on airbrush paint to touch it up than a can of clear coat does! Any help is grreat
