I'm in the process of rebuilding this Clements H50 beast. I pulled the flywheel off for cleaning and to replace the seal behind it. When I did so I found that the billet flywheel has no key-way cut into it. I know Clements knows what hes doing but this seem off to me. I marked to position of...
So I have a New predator 212cc and I ordered a max torque clutch, cause the clutch I have has a keyway cut out. when it arrived today and I went to install it I put it on and when I immediately took it off the key way part on the jackshaft came out now the new clutch doesn't fit, and the old...
I am reposting this in the general engine page hoping to get more eyes on it and maybe some help.
The 1970ish Ruttman Spyder I recently bought has a 1974 3hp briggs model 80323 engine on it. I noticed the clutch pads were looking pretty thin. When I pulled the old clutch off I realized that...
The 1970ish Ruttman Spyder I recently bought has a 1974 3hp briggs model 80323 engine on it. I noticed the clutch pads were looking pretty thin. When I pulled the old clutch off I realized that the shaft had no keyway, just a threaded end like a bolt and a very large nut was all that was keeping...
Hello,
I've acquired two MB165's, one's a few years old and the other only a
year...right before Baja came out with the MB200. Both having the Hensim 6.5hp.
I removed the clutch on the older one as I was having some clutch engagement at
idle issues, even following putting a new carb and...
Does anyone have a ballpark price of what it would cost to have a keyway cut in the output shaft on a Briggs motor? And you can leave the crank in the engine when they do this right?
I just go a H50 Tecumseh . It has a 3/4" shaft but only has a small woodruff (sp?) key. Can I get a keyway cut the whole length of the shaft ?? If so where. Can a small engine place do it or do I need to disassemble the whole motor and take the crank to a machine shop ????
I have an older mini bike with a 5 hp Briggs on it and I got it with no clutch. I cannot find one without a key way because my slime has teeth in it instead of a keyway slot. Is there anything I can do without getting a new motor?
I talked to a local machine shop about cutting a keyway in some of my 5/8" diameter crankshafts I have sitting around.
Is anyone interested in buying one for say $65.00 shipped?
All,
I was in the process of installing a Max Torque Clutch on a Honda Clone (Harbor Freight) Greyhound 6.5 engine, and I struggled installing the clutch key. I was able to slide the clutch on the crankshaft, remove both alan screws, and slide clutch on the crankshaft. I aligned the clutch...
so I just ordered/received the 6.5 clone mounting kit (fast shipping, btw!) but I have an issue w/the keyway supplied w/the motor from HF. the keyway that came with it is roughly 1 11/16" long, yet the slot in the Max Torque clutch supplied w/the kit is only 7/8" deep. so the one I have will not...
Ok, just wondering, My motor says that it is 9/16 keyway. And all the clutches I have seen for sale say they are 3/16 keyway. Is this going to work? Dont know much about engines just wondering, thanks
Anybody know the dimensions of the stock briggs keyway slot?
Im thinking it's 3/16" wide but Im not sure how deep.
I have a 5hp crank that has the wrong size pto shaft, its 7/8" and I am turning it down to 3/4" and will be cutting a new keyway on a mill.
I thought it would be easiest...
