I got this muffler from a member and I was unaware that it was welded to the extension pipe. I cannot use it like that as I need it to screw into a 45 degree elbow. If you can help, please message me. I'd take a clean used or NOS. Thanks!!
Mufflers for 1970-1972 Arctic Cat Minibikes with Saxonette engines. 20" to wide joint, 1-1/8" small end, 2-1/2" large end, 1-3/4" long small end.
This fancy erickson muffler has an 1 1/4 inlet. This is made out of stainless steel and is very nice. I am told that these sound very nice. Looking for $35.00 shipped

grandson s hawg ty wouldn't start after sitting an hour or so. pull, pull, pull, gas is coming out the muffler. maybe stuck exhaust valve? any easy fixes? has the 5.5 chong jong or something engine.{i know. hf clone, that's coming} would like to put this on something else down the road. maybe...
I have an old powell melo tone muffler. The original packing was some asbestos fibre crap and is long gone now it's just a big tube anyone know a decent substitute. I seen some stainless steel, ceramic and fiberglass packing for sale. Which one is best? Thanks
I think I pulled this off a CAT bike..I think that's why I kept it..it looks right. :shrug:
Anyway a lot of other bikes used them too....its real solid with just surface rust..a little Evaporust or a wire wheel and it will be like new at a fraction of the cost...

i drilled through the plug that these mufflers have at the top and then i drill through the side of the main pipe to create a larger exit hole for flow inside the baffled area. I then port matched the muffler at the head. Ii added the tail pipe for sound effect.
End result is a high flow stock...
I need some help. This muffler blackens the powder coat on the fender and back down tube. It's pretty bad. I need to know what muffler I can get and put on here or is there a director that can be screwed on. I DO NOT want to ruin the powder on this one. Simply put, any and all ideas would...
