.020 longer rod with flat top piston clearance?

I have a non Hemi predator with a .020 longer rid and stock piston. I was wondering if there is enough room to throw in a flat top piston too without an issue or if I need a stock length rod? Bonus if I can use a smaller gasket!

With a non Hemi block and a flat top Hemi pistion you would want the .040 longer predator rod... The flat top has a .020 shorter compression height

There is a Honda FT piston and rings for around $20. I'm running it in my 196cc clone with a .020 over rod, and it fit nicely. Here is the link. This is the newer model, and it's just under $30. You can probably find an older model for around $20 if you look.

Predator has a larger bore honda piston will not work.

That Hemi piston has one thing in common with the Honda, it uses that thin ring technology for low drag. Thank goodness for longer rod options on the Pred. with mine and stock length rod, i milled 0.070'' off the block to get zero deck with the F-top.
