Doodle Bug Club of America | A Club which was started for the enjoyment of a Famous Motor Scooter Built 1946-1948
Tentative schedule for the 2014 Reunion:
Wed. Sept. 10 – MORNING – Jim Winter will give a Radio Control model airplane demonstration at the fairgrounds.
AFTERNOON – possible trip to the Heartland Museum* in Clarion ($6.00 admission). Your own transportation will be required. *This museum has an excellent display of items from the Clarion area including an outstanding display of tractors and farm equipment. A Doodle Bug is also on display. http://www.heartlandmuseum.org
Thurs. Sept. 11 – 1:00 – Trip to the Hemken car museum in Williams ($5.00 admission). Don will have a bus for the trip. http://www.the-hemken-collection.org
3:00-4:00 – ride to the downtown area as a group to display as many Doodle Bugs as possible.
The group will plan to return to the fairgrounds in time to eat as a group.
Fri. Sept. 12 – 10:00 Coffee at the Bonebright Depot Museum.
1:00 – Ride to the airport (approx. 7-8 mi. roundtrip).
Group Dinner.
Sat. Sept. 13 – 9:00 Ride to Briggs Woods on the beautiful Boone River Scenic Bike Path (approx. 11.5 mile roundtrip). We have requested a 3 hr. window with the time to be adjusted for the weather.
Be sure to bring your camera for some scenery that can’t be beat. We may even see some Bald Eagles around the bridge as we did last year!
