301 CC predator exhaust question

This is my first small engine project. I have a 301CC predator & would like to know if I make a custom header, with an RLV muffler on it, will I need to do anytihng to the carb, not even sure if you can re-jet ?

I just don't want to lean it out. I want the exhaust to exit under the seat / over the tire, as the stock exhaust may be a bit close to the leg.

any suggestion / references would be appreciated.

you dont need to do anything to the carb if you just plan on using a custom header with RLV muffler. if you add an aftermarket air filter to the intake side you should increase your main jet size and your idle jet size. figure out how to read your spark plug and that will tell you how lean or rich your engine is running.
