Imagine back in 1970's. You are a yound kid. Searching for the perfect mini bike to spend your hard earned paper route money.
You look through boys life. You spot it.
You send a letter to the Fox Corporation in Janesville,Wi.
Dear sirs, could you send me a brochure on your Fox Sprite.
You watch for the mail. Finally, the mailman delivers this to your door.

The perfect bike.
You beg Dad to take you to the nearest dealer.
There she sits the perfect mini bike.
You shell out your hard earned cash.
It is yours.
You spend many hours riding it. It is the best feeling in the world.
Next thing you know other things get in the way.
She sits and sits.
Finally you go off to college. The poor little Sprite gets forgotten.
Move to 30 years later.
This is what she looks like.

The lure of ebay gets you and you list her.
Not much interest. Then low and behold it sells.
Then it is traded.
She goes from Mn to Alabama.
A nice man likes Foxes and wants to bring it back to it's glory.
So, the resuresction of a pile of dreams begins.
All original, new forks that are straight, rebuild the souped up 2.5hp tecumseh,a nice up to date paint job and she is ready for the wife.

More to follow.

Plan on bead blast, repaint purple, for the wife, engine will be white, rims white and OldMiniBikes Warehouse for the remaimder.

Stay tuned. Should be a fun ride getting her back to glory.
Kinda thinkin this.

That's one thing about the Fox Corporation; their models were always outstanding. I wanted to meet the Fox Campus model back when I was a teen but now I can't remember why. Maybe it'll come back to me. Ogy

Quick question. Yeah,I know, here we go.
So,how do I preserve the original decals? I learned on my first time around that I should preserve them. They just aren't out there.
Thoughts???

on the Cats I've had good luck heating (not scorching) the decal with a heat gun...others have done it too....but they were foil back and on a fork plate where you could heat it from behind.

...... get some more opinions before trying anything.
