The $6.95 price for the bolt does not sound unreasonable to me. eBay is a hassle and it's expensive for the seller. You have a lot to factor into a price. Time to break that part off the bike separate and lable it, Time to make the ad, time spent in line at the post office, time to package it up, gas to get to the post office. Since eBay now includes the shipping with the price of the sale you have to factor that in also. Sounds like this guy is going to make $.50 an hour to get this to you. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of insane prices out there but this seems like a fair shake to the guy without a lathe. If I needed it it would be mine without a thought. The clutch guard for a Rupp sprint however I think I may need a home equity loan and a gun to get.

I would make it on a lathe as well if I needed one. The bolt price isn't that bad but most Rupp and Bonanza part prices are insane.
