When I let off the throttle she pops a couple of times? Is this too much fuel?

yeah, try backing off the adjustments a bit, turn the bottom screw in some. give it a rev or two in between turns till you get it just right. :thumbsup:

That usually means it is too lean on the idle circuit.

What about a briggs? is it same thing idle screw?

If adjusting the carb doesn't work out check to see if you have a leak at the exhaust where you may be drawing air back into the exhaust......

I'll try the exhaust gaskets but it seems to be a little low on mid-range and top end power.
Maybe raising the needle one notch?

The Makuni style carb allows you to adjust the fuel mixture quite easily, so I moved the needle up one notch to add more fuel. Worked great.
