Bonanza BC1300 + 6.5hp Clone - Good Idea?

#1
Ive got an old Bonanza BC1300 that Im cleaning up and getting roadworthy.
The original H35 Tecumseh is in need of a complete teardown, so Im thinking
of buying a 6.5hp Clone to get me up & running. Dimensionally it will fit, but
Im wondering if any other Bonanza owners have done this too and if there
is anything I need to watch out for.

Also, is there a throttle linkage "kit" for these engines that works with the
typical twist grip throttle? Ive done some searching, but Im not getting
anything dead on. Anyone have some pics of what they have fabricated?

Thanks in advance for the help.

The BC models have it on the forks, the MX models, etc without a front plate on the forks used the one on the engine plate.

His is super rare in that it is a bAnanza.

Tom, the ultra rare one is on the right, I think there were only a few that got out before the recall. I don't think Injun has one.
