Briggs 5hp Crank Bearing Question

Ok...is this block worth using? If not is there any way to resurface the bearing? The Crank I'll be using is is good shape...just wondering if this will damage it?

Thats a bushing, not a bearing.....looks pretty beat up.... hopefully someone with experience with this issue chimes in

Yes you should be able to have that bored and a DU bushing installed

Yes it can be done. The correct set of reams are difficult to find. Du bushings can be purchased online for a few bucks.

No dice, 125ccCrazy's never done a bushing replacement...just an oil drain hole. Any one else ever bored out a cast bushing to install a pressed in crank bushing?
