Picture #1 shows the inside sheave not retracting fully so the kart wants to move instantly.

Picture #2 shows the rollers and springs have "jumped track".

Picture #3 shows the inside of the cover.

I see no obvious issue with the sheave or cover so what is causing the rollers to do this? I've reset them twice but it is only a temporary fix. How do I permanently fix this?

there is a chart on one of the sites that shows the the exact distance between the shafts center to center for your specific tc ,it must be set within 1/16 of the spec to work properly, i was having similar trouble and set the distance exactly and it solved it. cant be sure about yours but worth a try, it was a kart parts site if i remember right.

Is it opening up just too far and letting the rollers pop out? could you shim it so it doesnt open so far?
