Could this be a Powell Phantom 7 ?

Just picked this up recently. Upon inspection.. I noticed the engine mounting plate is different than that of my Powell Challenger. Could this be the mysterious " Powell Phantom 7 " ?

Help ... someone ?

Well i cant answer that for you, but what i do know is that i really want a Powell.

That is a Powell but I'm not sure its a Phanton 7
I have 2 myself and both are like your black one not all Challengers were like your red one.

Your red on is like mine just has missing oem parts. the other hole in the swing arm is for the driven. how about your red bike, bayarea. lets see the clutch side.

A Phantom would have a battery spot up front .....I'm pretty sure.

So far I've noticed three styles of engine plates for the Powell Challenger... I wonder if there is more than one style of engine mounting plate for the Phanton 7 ...

A couple weeks ago George. I live up north .... where the summers are cold. I was down that way picking up a couple of bikes.

the guy sent me pics. of it. came with extra parts. how much did he finally settle for it? It seemed like every year they changed the powell around.

Yes ... the bike came with extra parts he had been collecting which made for a sweet deal.
