Ethanol ruined the plastic fuel tank on my expensive Ducati motorcycle. The problem is well documented and led to a class action lawsuit against Ducati that resulted in no real victory for either side. All of my motorcycles and other small engines now live on a diet of ethanol-free fuel. There are a couple of stations close to me that have it.
I bring my gas cans to the Lake (Lake Ozarks) to get ethanol free gas every time I go through it. They sell ethanol free within 1-mile of major lakes because boat engines hate it.
Ethanol robs power and you lose gas mileage....about 25% on full sized, V8 vehicles. So if gas is $4.00/gallon (remember thse days???) - DO NOT BUY ETHANOL if you have a flex fuel engine unless ethanol prices are 74% of regular unleaded prices or cheaper.
