Gas overflowing from carb

Hey everyone.

I just installed a new upgraded air filter from OldMiniBikes,GX200/Clone Air Filter Kit

The problem is, the gas overflows into the filter from the carb. What is the problem, and how do I fix it?

Could be the needle seat not seating.
Could be the float bowl not level.
Could be some gunk in the carb.
Or ghosts..:laugh:

Needle isn't seating all the way. Take your carb off and take off the bowl and push on the float a couple of times and try it again.

Could be a piece of trash between the needle and seat.

All of this = Carb Cleaner.

Or, just drop the bowl, hit the float, and put the bowl back on. May not even need to pull the carb. Check to see if the float is taking on gas. I had one that loaded up with gas one time. The strange thing was, it never leaked back out, and it never evaporated once I swapped floats???
