GC160 setting valve timing

I was wondering how to set the valve timing on a gc160. I was taking one apart for the heck of it last night and I didn't see any marks on anything. Anybody know what the deal is?

I see now that there is an arrow on the crankshaft that lines up with a line on the cyl. Then there is two dashes on the plastic cam that are supposed to be level with the top of the head where the valve cover seals. They're interesting engines. The stock rod is pretty beefy looking. The beam really tapers out from the wrist pin to the bottom.

Have you done any modifications to that motor. How does it run. I have a brand new one and have not opened the case yet.
