Greyhound question

I have a 6.5 hp greyhound motor that i replaced the exhaust with a straight back header, well since doing that i can only run a half choke, any more and it will bog out. I know its considered a "clone". I know i need a new airfilter, the adapter thing and a choke bracket, will these 3 parts work on my engine?

Yes those parts will work on your engine...you will need to drill the main jet out in your carb also.Drilling out your jet is covered in the engine section.:thumbsup:

thanks man i play to try to do that soon but i have to see if i can find drill bits that small close to me

I have been using a Oxy torch tip cleaner with some good results to drill the jet. Have to go slow. Poke and twist to get the cleaner rod thru. Then work it like a round file once you get it thru. Then go up in size doing the same process till you have it. You will end up with a little over a #95 if you crunch the numbers on the back of the cleaner case. Takes some practice. Go slow!

Go to harbor freight and buy the drill bits they have and then buy an exacto knife, make sure the exacto knife you get is one that has the "X" cut in it where you slide the blade into and not just the straight line cut for the blade.

Thanks everyone for the advice i went to the hobby shop a few days ago and purchased a mini drill bit set and went home and jetted my carb. Thanks for the help
