Guess engine size and year.

picked it up out of the trash the carb is locked up and the bowl is coated with silicone, theres no tags on the engine. sprayed some starting fluid in the carb plugged in the elictric start and it fired rite up. the engine has an 3/4 shaft tapped and was chain drive with a clutch.

no number on the shroud theirs 2 holes on the side where i guess a tag used to reside long ago. i was at sears website with the part mumber and it said 756190 was the replacemen engine number for this model blower and that mtd made it for sears.

What size was the Snow bucket up front?

My guess is it will be a 6HP / year ????????? you may never know.

They tend to place HP by size of bucket, 26" would be 5HP
30" - 32" 10 hp

When you search the 756190 you posted, the search shows 1988 - 89

You can find the HP rating by removing the head and measuring the diameter of the piston.

I attempted to look at Sears Parts direct but they didn't have any info on the engine other than an expired part number. Not even a parts diagram
